These Amazing Shadows

These Amazing Shadows Film enthusiasts mark next Tuesday at 7 p.m. on your calendar for the free Cinema Sage Hill screening of “These Amazing Shadows” featuring a Q&A with director, Paul Mariano.

The film is presented by Newport Beach Film Festival and The Studio at Sage Hill. “These Amazing Shadows” tells the history and importance of The Registry, a roll call of American cinema treasures that reflects the diversity of film. Currently the list of 525 films includes selections from every genre - documentaries, home movies, Hollywood classics, avant-garde, newsreels and silent films. “These Amazing Shadows” shows what American movies reveal about ourselves, what we did, thought, felt, aspired to be, and the lies we told ourselves.
